Vanco Fire Protection Ltd. is a family owned and operated company providing a complete range of fire protection services throughout the Greater Vancouver Area and the Fraser Valley.
Ever since its inception, Vanco Fire Protection has worked hard to put the needs of clients first. We sought to fill a void in the industry and have worked to build a company that provides outstanding customer service with one point of contact for all fire and life safety needs. We pride ourselves in thinking outside the box and have a commitment to quality and innovation to ensure successful relationships with our clients.
Company owner and lead hand Steve van Gaalen started in the fire protection industry at his Dad's knee with Viking Fire and obtained his TQ in sprinkler fitting in 1994 and was top apprentice in his class. When Steve became a 'family man' he decided to expand his knowledge in the fire protection industry and took on learning the inspection and testing side of fire alarm systems and other life safety equipment. Steve is a registered Fire Protection Technician with ASTTBC with certifications in Fire Alarm, Fire Extinguisher, Emergency Lighting and Fire Pumps in addition to being a member of the BCWWA for backflows. Vanco Fire Protection Ltd was established in 1999 and came into its own in 2005. We have experienced phenomenal growth ever since.
Steve's natural talent for troubleshooting, his fantastic recall of building systems and his ability to speak directly with clients has been a winning combination. With over 20 years in the trade Steve van Gaalen has a personal, hands on position in the field. Steve has the responsibility to get the job done right the first time, ensuring that all parties are 100% satisfied and safe.
