Fire Extinguisher Servicing
Vanco Fire Protection offers full servicing on fire extinguishers including 6 year service, Hydro Static Testing (12 year service), recharge and repairs at our shop location. In addition we have a mobile service trailer that can perform 6 year maintenance on site for larger jobs or special events. Our facility is equipped with top quality equipment to make our job easier: and your costs down.
Six Year Service: Complete rebuild of valve assembly, including new O rings and gaskets. Internal examination of the cylinder and refill with appropriate dry chemical to the weight specified by the manufacture. Our extinguishers are pressurized with nitrogen ensuring no moisture contamination as versus pressuring with compressed air.
Hydro Static Testing: Our hydro testing system (12 year service) is a hand pump system. This system was specifically chosen by our service team over the automatic systems. This manual system allows the operator to “feel” how the cylinder responds to the test pressure applied to the cylinder instead of relying on an arbitrary decision from a machine. Mobile Service Trailer: Used for 6 year service in the field. Our air tight mobile service trailer keeps our ABC and BC dry chemical powder moisture free to maintain the original specifications as laid out by the manufacture. We don't take shortcuts in the field provision of 6 year service - the service is the same as if it was done in our shop. Utilizing the mobile service trailer on large jobs (40 or more units requiring service) offers cost savings to the client and less wear and tear on your fire extinguishers.
